Terms of Service

By creating an BookRealm account, recording a memory, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. BookRealm is operated by SpeakerRealm LLC ("BookRealm", "we", "us").

BookRealm helps you preserve voice recordings, video interviews, written stories, photographs, and documents into a structured personal archive ("Legacy"). The service includes guided interviews, AI-assisted question-and-answer grounded in your recordings, optional voice cloning, family contributor invites, time-released messages, and a release workflow for after-life delivery to designated recipients.

You retain full ownership of everything you upload or record. You grant BookRealm a limited license to host, process, transcribe, embed, transcode, and deliver your content for the sole purpose of operating the service for you and the people you authorize. We do not sell your content, do not license it to third parties for advertising, and do not use it to train external AI models.

If you enable voice cloning, you authorize BookRealm and our voice provider (ElevenLabs) to create a voice model from your recordings for use inside your Legacy. Voice models are treated as biometric data. You may revoke consent and request deletion of the voice model at any time from Settings. Residents of Illinois, Texas, Washington, and other jurisdictions with biometric privacy laws have additional rights described in our Privacy Policy.

You may invite family members and voice contributors to add to your Legacy. Their contributions are imported into your account and governed by these Terms. You are responsible for the permissions you grant. Designated Family Administrators act on your behalf within the scope you set.

Legacy Release workflows execute only after the required waiting period, steward approvals, and verification steps you configured. BookRealm is not a substitute for a will, trust, or executor. We recommend pairing Legacy Release with proper estate documents prepared by qualified counsel.

Subscriptions and one-time packages are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. One-time packages and add-on hours are non-refundable once any included session is used. You can manage billing from Settings.

For Book packages, we stand behind Atlas with a specific written guarantee:

• Eligibility. You have completed the Author Sessions included in the Book package you purchased.
• Remedy. If Atlas does not deliver a manuscript draft built from your own recorded words — one you are willing to put your name on — we will refund your Book package in full. This is the sole remedy under this guarantee.
• Data portability. You may export your Author Session transcripts and manuscript drafts at any time, in standard formats, regardless of whether you request a refund. Your recordings, transcripts, and drafts remain yours.
• Scope. The guarantee applies to Book packages only. It does not extend to add-on hours already consumed, third-party costs (print, ISBNs, distribution), or non-Book products.
• How to claim. Open a claim from your Manuscript Guarantee page within 30 days of your final included session, or email hello@bookrealm.ai. We process approved refunds through the original Stripe charge.

This clause is intended to match — and be read alongside — the Manuscript Guarantee described on our pricing page. Where the pricing page and this clause differ, this clause controls.

Do not upload content that infringes others' rights, is unlawful, or impersonates a person without their consent. Do not use BookRealm to harass, defraud, or harm any person. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BookRealm's total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email and posted here with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
